Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Director of Liturgical Music. The director will be responsible for overseeing the parish music program as the principal pianist, organist, and adult choir director. This includes planning, in collaboration with the clergy, and playing music that enhances worship and encourages congregational participation for three weekend masses, funerals (about 40 per year), weddings, and occasional special liturgical celebrations. This will involve building up and leading our adult choir, working with cantors, directing the hand bell choir twice a year, and assembling and leading extra musicians for Christmas, Easter, and Corpus Christi. Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church is seeking a full time Director/Coordinator of Religious Education (DRE or CRE). The Director of Religious Education must be a practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Church. Additionally, he/she is a person of prayer who is committed to the authentic teaching of the Catholic faith. The Director/Coordinator of Religious Education reports directly to the pastor. As a member of the parish staff, the Director/Coordinator of Religious Education works with other staff members to foster and maintain a working environment where worship, prayer, hospitality and learning are the primary motivators. The Director/Coordinator of Religious Education is a professional catechetical leader who assists adults, adolescents and children of the parish in their faith formation.
